The Law "On the National Emblem of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was adopted on July 2, 1992 at the tenth session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In the center of the emblem there is a Humo bird with wings spread - a symbol of happiness and freedom. Our great ancestor Alisher Navoi characterized the Humo bird as the kindest of all living beings.
On the top of the emblem there is an octahedron symbolizing the sign of approval of the republic, inside there is a crescent moon with a star.
An image of the sun is a wish that the path of our state be illuminated with bright light. At the same time, it points to the unique natural and climatic conditions of the republic.
Pieces of wheat are a symbol of daily bread, stems with drop-out bins of cotton are the main wealth of our sunny Earth glorified it around the world. Spikes and cotton bins intertwined with the State Flag ribbon mean the consolidation of the peoples living in the republic.
